Assured Fire Safety Consultancy Ltd Shortlisted for Fire Safety Project of the Year
Assured Fire Safety Consultancy Ltd is delighted to announce that our Flat Entrance Doors – In Service Testing project has been shortlisted for Fire Safety Project of the Year at the Fire & Security Matters Awards 2025.
This nomination reflects our data-driven response to a widespread issue affecting housing providers: the potential non-conformance of flat entrance doors and their real-world impact on fire safety.
During our consultancy work, we identified a conceptual non-conformance across a significant number of flat entrance doors. With concerns over reduced Safe Available Escape Time in communal areas, we posed the essential question: Is the risk critically high?
Our recommendation: gather real performance data in-service—rather than rely on assumptions. The outcome? A clearer picture of actual risk and compliance, and informed decisions for remediation or reassurance.
We’re proud to see this project recognised for its rigour and real-world impact. We extend our thanks to our clients, housing partners, and team who supported this effort and continue to champion safer living environments across the UK.
The Fire & Security Matters Awards 2025 will be held in June.
